Welcome!
Welcome to Kosher-Pixels.com. This personal site is devoted to graphic design projects, photography and other musings related to my passions including (but not limited to): egoistic hedonism, cursory (yet showy) computer understanding and dizzying honey consumption. It is the goal of this site to entertain, inform, infotain, or any variation therein. This site is the product of a few hours of actual work and endless wasted time spent market researching, focus grouping (with my girlfriend) and fruitless hype.
Why Kosher?
Kosher is a term used to describe something that is right, proper or fit. While in this case it has virtually nothing to do with Judaism (I'm a devout Agnostic,) it does borrow the notion that behind the practice of Kosher is self-control and discipline. Like Kosher food, the site is meant to force into consciousness what it is that we consume. Here, the consumption in question is predominantly our diet of visual media. It is not my intention to be steeped in intellectualization of semiotics or decry popular media. Rather, the content found within will occasionally serve as reminder that to some cultural degree - we are what we eat.

Why Pixels?
Pixels are the tiny, building blocks of all electronic visual media. Also, the word "pixels" is phonetically almost identical to the word "pickles". "Kosher pixels" is a pun on "Kosher pickles'. Humor is always best when it's explained.

Why .com?
Why? Because we love you.

Hopefully, you will find the work and thoughts presented on this site to be a fine balance of conception and execution, a rich sensory experience and most importantly; good enough to inspire you to hire me for your next design project.
